2014 marks the 20th anniversary of Kurt Cobain’s death. The home where he committed suicide has become, dare I say it, a tourist attraction. Perhaps that’s not the best way to describe it. Maybe a place for fans to mourn and pay their respects is more accurate.
The home is nestled in Seattle on the shores of Lake Washington. A memorial bench was built in the open yard next door to the home that’s now surrounded by walls of leaves and flowers.
However, there’s still a way to sneak a peek into the house as you sit on the bench…
Living in Seattle, you begin to take this place for granted. It’s only when friends come to visit from out of town that you rediscover this amazing place through the eyes of a tourist. Luckily, I wore my adventure seeker hat (haha) on this day.
Now to the clothes. I paired a masculine camoflauge print with a lace top to help offset it. Since we were going to be sightseeing, I figured a pair of thick comfy leggings and some boots would be the most comfortable.
Cheers to your Kurt. Thank you for all you gave to music. Seattle, and the world, have become more enriched because of you.
