Unboxing: IPSY March 2014

Another month, another IPSY bag! For $10 a month, IPSY sends 4-5 beauty products (think make-up, hair, lotions, etc.) that are customized just for you and delivered in a super cute GLAM BAG. Here’s what came in my March bag:

Ellen Tailor IPSY March 2014 - 1How cute is this month’s bag?! Fun, springy, and unique. I dig it. This month’s theme is “Destination Beauty” and I’m pretty content with my goodies.

Ellen Tailor IPSY March 2014 - 3

Nicole by OPI Roughles in “On What Grounds?” - This special collection is brand new for March 2014! I’m a sucker for nail polish so I’m always extra excited when I see a bottle in my bag. This is not a polish I’d normally buy despite liking the brand. I dig the color but I’m not quite sure about the texture. I applied a quick swatch on my thumb and the verdict is still out. It does come off fairly easy with remover unlike most textured polishes. This is why I dig IPSY, they introduce me to products outside of my comfort zone and this will be fun for spring. Full Size: $7.99

Ellen Tailor IPSY March 2014 - 2

bareMinerals Marvelous Moxie Lipstick in Get Ready - We’ve been spoiled with many full size products in our bags so I suppose I shouldn’t be too disappointed in receiving this trial size lipstick. On the plus side, this is perfect for tossing in your clutch on a night out and the color is okay, too. Full Size: $18

Ellen Tailor IPSY March 2014 - 4

Be a Bombshell Eyeshadow Quad in Bora Bora - This isn’t the first time IPSY has included this brand in their bags and so far they’ve be unimpressive. However, this is the first time I’ve received their shadow and I’m excited to try it. I especially love the turquoise color that I’ll use as a liner. (TIP: Wet your brush and apply to the lash line to turn any shadow into a pretty liner!) Full Size: $16

Ellen Tailor IPSY March 2014 - 5

Klorane Smoothing and Relaxing Patches with Soothing Cornflower - This is what I was most excited about and this was also the biggest disappointment. These eyes patches claim to increase circulation and decrease signs of stress. Meh. I tried these and they did nothing. Full Size: $18

The two full sized products in this month’s bag totaled $24 which is more than twice the cost of the bag itself ($10)! Another month, another win! If you’d like to sign up for your own IPSY bag, which I highly suggest you do because it’s A-MAZING, click HERE.

    Hey Ellen!
I got all the same stuff. Except the eye patches, instead I got a tinted beauty primer by pixi. The primer works great! I love that it’s tinted. I already had the bare minerals lipstick (same color too) from Christmas, but that’s ok because it’s a great base color. The eye shadow I LOVE! The browns are all colors I use almost a daily basis and they are very pigmented. Last all day! The blue is suh a fun and pretty color. Haven’t tried it yet tho…. The nail polish I will have to agree with you… It’s not a color I would normally choose but could prob learn to like it. I love that it’s a full size bottle, and a great brand! This was my first Ipsy bag and I’m loving it! Thanks for introducing it! P1 since day 1 :)

Good morning Ellen! I’ve been loving Ipsy since I saw your post about it last December! This months bag was awesome! I got the primer, which I love, great eye colors, a great eyeliner, and a perfect spring shade of lipstick! Thank you for turning me on to Ipsy!!! I’ve also told all my girlfriends to use your name if they sign up for it =)

I’m so jealous you got the primer! Pixi is a pretty expensive brand. I’m wearing the Bare Minerals lipstick today actually. :) I’m so glad you enjoy IPSY as much as I do!

Bag twins! :) I wasn’t that fond of this month’s selection at all. I hated the nail polish (and I have it unchecked on my quiz), don’t need the eye patches, and the bag is probably my least favorite. I loved the lip stick and the eyeshadow though.

Bag twins! I love it. I’m wearing the lipstick today and like it more than I thought I would. It’s a pleasant surprise.

I love ipsy! I loved how they used a local artist to design the March 2014 bag! For my March bag I received the BareMinerals lipstick, Chella eyeliner, Bora eyeshadow quad, and a luxury tan.

I basically got the same bag as you! My review for this bag will be up soon on my blog: http://beautyjunkiezz.wordpress.com/
I didn’t really like the bare minerals lipstick :( The colour looks so weird on me! But I was really happy with the Pacifica coconut body lotion I got <3
