If you’ve followed me on social media, you may have heard me profess my love for the Revlon One-Step Hair Dryer & Volumizer. If you’re not following me on social media…umm…why not?! (I’ll leave links to all of my pages below.)
I took this as a good excuse to relaunch my YouTube channel (which you would have known about if you follow me on social media but I digress. 😝) Watch “How To Get TV Hair” to see how exactly I use this AMAZING tool #NotAnAd, then please-oh-please hit the subscribe button so I know whether or not y’all want to see this type of content.

Finding tickets to this weekend’s game was already a tough get considering how much is on the line. Add Marshawn Lynch’s homecoming and I’m convinced all of Western Washington will hear the roars coming out of Century Link. (Side note: Who do I know that can sneak me in under a coat or something? …I’m only half kidding.)
My friend Gee Scott described this scenario perfectly.
First, I’ve got to applaud Gee’s knowledge of Hallmark movies. Second, THE BEAST IS BAAACK!!!
My first instinct when I heard the news that Marshawn MIGHT be coming back was to hop online and find new swag I could get my hands on ASAP. While some are dusting off their classic #24 jersey, others like me had to find something new. Leave it to Beastmode himself to have everything on the ready.
Beast Mode Apparel
The Beast Mode store (which was one of the smartest things Marshawn’s ever done from a branding and marketing standpoint but I digress) already has the “Unfinished Business” line on their site. My pick is this hoodie that comes in sizes S – 3XL but they also have a few other t-shirt options.
Here are some other great Beastmode apparel options that I’ve found ranked in no particular order:
Lady 12 Fashion
One of the reasons I love Lady 12 is because of their size inclusivity. This blinged-out hoodie is available in sizes S – 4XL for $49.99. Purchase before 2p PST and they promise to ship it out the same day.
Simply Seattle is simply the best. Their team is, hands down, the quickest to jump on a trend with one-of-a-kind swag that’s also budget-friendly. The Beast Is Back Rally tee is only $10 bucks! It comes in sizes S – 4XL and they guarantee to have it in your hand by the first playoff game.
A not-so-shameless plug for my own store, Charlie Pete. This probably isn’t the best thing to wear in the freezing cold weather BUT I still think this Throwback SEA Tank is a must for any 12. (Yes, I’m 100% biased.)
Fly Fit Brand
If you’re looking for custom gear and can be a little patient, Fly Fit Brand might be the option for you. They offer a TON of different options and based on their Instagram it looks like they outfit several of the player’s wives and families.
Seahawks Pro Shop
It looks like the tried and true Pro Shop found some old jerseys and added them to their site again. (I looked earlier in the week and they had none up but luckily that’s changed.) If you’re like me and haven’t pulled the plug on a jersey yet, this might be the time to do it.
Regardless of what you wear, this weekend is going to be something for the record books in Seattle. There’s something in the air that’s indescribable. It reminds me a lot of the days leading up to the Super Bowl championship where the stereotypical “Seattle freeze” was non-existent. The world is filled with so much negativity and it’s nice to be able to escape, even if for just a bit, with the help of Marshawn Lynch. WELCOME HOME BEASTMODE!
It always makes me laugh when I read emails suggesting I fire my “glam squad” because they made me look horrible on TV. #SPOILERALERT My hair and makeup team consists of me, myself and I. Truth be told, figuring out what looks good has been a whole bunch of trial and error. Learn from my mistakes with these three hair and makeup secrets.
Invest in the Revlon One-Step Hair Dryer & Volumizer Hot Air Brush. Amazon sells it for less than $45 and it is worth every single cent. I use this on both wet and dry hair. Not only does it cut down on dry time but I literally don’t need anything other than this to get the perfect head of hair each and every time. If you follow me on social media, you’ve probably already heard me sing the praises of this little wonder tool. Mine is black and pink but I like this new black and mint version. Regardless of the colors, the product is a game-changer!
I’m always wearing a Kylie Cosmetics matte liquid lipstick. I’ll apply the color around 5:45a and that stuff doesn’t budge until I remove it that evening. I’m swamped trying to do a million different things and quite frankly, I don’t have the time to be checking the mirror to see if my lipstick looks good from segment to segment. My go-to colors are Mary Jane,Exposed, and Koko K. Each one is a steep $17 (lip kits that include a matching pencil are $29) and I’ll gladly pay because simply put, there’s nothing that’s better. If you are looking for a more budget-friendly option, I suggest ColourPop’s Matte Lippie Stix but they aren’t nearly as good as Kylie’s.
Treat yourself to inexpensive paper masks to make sure your skin stays clean and hydrated. The best thing you can do to make sure your makeup looks good is to give yourself a great base. It’s so important to take care of your skin and it’s definitely something I realize the older I get. You can pick up these kinds of masks pretty much anywhere. I prefer to get mine for $5 from Charlie Pete (because it’s my store and I’m biased.) Pro Tip: Take the extra serum and rub it into your neck and decolletage because those areas deserve some TLC, too.
What are your hair and makeup secrets? Got a product you love or maybe a YouTuber you get inspiration from? Leave a comment and tell me all about it!
“Where’d you get that from?!” is easily one of the most frequent questions I get asked. Whether you see me on TV, the ‘gram, or at the casino, I’m always more than happy to share where I picked up my outfit. Here are three ways to shop my look.
Like To Know It – Most of the photos posted on my Instagram feed are linked to the Like To Know It app. It’s a way to easily shop all of your favorite blogger’s posts. If you download the app, you’ll be able to double-tap my pics and get links to all of the products sent directly to you. Or you can simply click on the link on my Like To Know It page. What I like most about this is that I can include a variety of different sizes (for example, this jacket is available in regular, petite, curve and tall sizing, all of which are linked.)
2. Poshmark – This is where I sell all of my gently used clothes and accessories. I love this option as both a seller and a buyer! See something you like, make an offer, and it’s yours. Simple. If you want to make room in your own closet it’s super easy to list, sell and ship items. New to Poshmark? Get $10 just for signing up using the code “ELLENTAILOR.”
3. Charlie Pete – Obviously I saved the best for last. (Yes, I’m 100% biased.) Charlie Pete is my very own store. I launched the company in 2018 and run it solely on my own. Everything from buying to packaging, it’s all me. Sizing ranges from XS – 3XL and all of my products are budget-friendly. Use the code “BETWEENUS” for 20% off your order.Where are your favorite places to shop? Leave a comment down below! Also, I’d love to bring you along on my daily adventures. Please follow me on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. xo.
Makeup has always been fun for me. I enjoyed being creative with my face. (Geez, that sounds weird.) My mom never wore any so there was a lot of trial-and-error.
Throughout my ten year radio career, makeup wasn’t necessary nor was it anything I wore religiously. That changed when I got into television broadcasting because, well, duh. While everyday makeup is different than prepping your face for HD TV, I’ve incorporated some old favorites with new finds.
BH Cosmetics Brushes – When it comes to anything makeup, whether it’s for your face or eyes or whatever, blending is key. These brushes are inexpensive and perfect for the job. The entire set is less than $20 on Amazon.
Maybelline Fit Me Foundation – Out of all the foundations I’ve tried, everything from high end to drugstore, nothing can compete with this and it’s price! For what it’s worth, I’ve got normal to dry skin and use 220 Natural Beige. There is a “Matte & Poreless” option for those on the other end of the skin spectrum, too.
L.A. Girl Pro Yellow Concealer – Hear me out. I get it. Yellow looks crazy but when applied under your eyes it really brightens up the area and makes your peepers pop! Just make sure to set this with your favorite loose powder.
Now I need YOUR help, please! You can see all of my favorite makeup must-haves on my Amazon page but you’ll notice some items are missing. Please leave a comment with your favorite makeup primer, false eyelash glue, and any other products you absolutely love.
I’m completely obsessed with watching women who take charge and break the mold. 💪🏼SaltySeattle is the kind of person we all need in our lives. Encouraging, supporting and empowering those around her. Meet Linda Miller Nicholson.
Full disclosure: When my producer suggested television segments with this “Instafamous pasta lady” I had no idea who she was. It didn’t take too long to figure out why Salty Seattle has nearly 200k Instagram followers! A colorful feed, comments from celebrities like supermodel Gigi Hadid (I thought models didn’t eat carbs?!), Linda is a masterful blend of relatable and aspirational.
Throughout the past few months, we’ve become great friends and even hatched a plan to set our parents up and become step-sisters. But long before our rosé-infused ideas, Linda had one to become an author. This week her book, “Pasta, Pretty Please” launches nationwide. I picked mine up on Amazon and reading the details made my mouth water.
“The pasta ninja and Instagram star Linda Miller Nicholson delivers her first cookbook, a stunning cornucopia of pasta in every color and shape, all created by hand using all-natural colors from vegetables, herbs, and superfoods—and including 25 dough recipes, 33 traditional and modern shaping techniques, and the perfect fillings and sauces to make your creations sing!
Linda Miller Nicholson began making pasta at age four, but started adding color to it several years ago to entice her son to eat more vegetables. Her creations became a viral sensation, attracting fans worldwide who are mesmerized by her colorful and flavorful designs. Now, with Pasta, Pretty Please home cooks can create dreamy, dazzling pastas in their own kitchens using only all-natural ingredients—flour, eggs, vegetables, herbs, and superfoods—that are true works of art.
Playful and inviting, Pasta, Pretty Pleaseincludes recipes, techniques, tips, and inspiration. Linda starts with recipes for basic doughs—standard egg dough, various gnocchi doughs—and works her way up to recipes for dough in many colorful shades. She teaches you just how many colors are pastable and what kinds of pigmented vegetables, fruits, and spices you can use to color your pasta—such as mixing turmeric with parsley for just the right shade of chartreuse, or using activated charcoal powder to create black pasta. She also shows you how to roll out dough, cut and form many pasta shapes, and gives tips for retaining brilliant colors even when cooked.
Once you’ve mastered the basics, you’ll find recipes for more elaborate patterns and colors that are sure to impress your family and friends. Linda reveals how to layer colors to make multi-colored doughs in recipes including:
Polka Dot Farfalle
Hearts and Stripes Pappardelle
Argyle Lasagna Sheets

Golden Milk Ragu
Pecorino Pepper Sauce with Broccolini
