My wise Greek uncle always told me that a secret isn’t a secret if more than one person knows about it. While I understand the sentiment, I think it’s vital to have that one gal pal who you can tell everything to without worrying about judgement or that they’ll use it against you later. It took me 28 years to find that person and I don’t know what I’d do without my BFF4EVER, Alexis.
As we strolled in and out of the shops along the streets of Victoria, British Columbia, last weekend, we spotted Covet+Keep’s unique jewlery and it immediately caught our attention. Each piece is designed with messages in Braille that range from “Nil Desperandum” (Latin for Never Despair) to “I’m Not Sorry.”
When we asked the clerk what these necklaces said, our jaws dropped at his response, “Best Bitches.” Perfect! OMG! Beyond perfect! There was no question we were going to have to buy these necklaces that are a perfect fit for any pair of besties over the age of 12 (because who seriously is going to wear the plastic glittler broken heart necklaces we all had when we were kids?)
After a little bit of research on Covet + Keep, I found out the designer, Elea Hillard, is a Victoria, BC, native and says her collection is for “the ladylike, the badass, the heartbreaker, the lover, the path carver, the party crasher, the trendsetter.” Spot on, Elea!
While I contemplate my next purchase (because there will be many more to come) check out all of Covet + Keep’s designs and good luck trying to refrain from buying every single piece.
